COORS LIGHT found a workaround for NFL rule that prohibits players from endorsing beer

The National Football League won’t let players endorse certain products, one of those being beer. But Coors Light figured out a way to safely circumvent that prohibition. The brewer made a deal with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes to pitch Coors-branded flashlights (Coors Lights, get it??).

In exchange for his work promoting the merch, Coors pledged to give all the money from flashlight purchases to a Mahomes-created kids’ health-and-wellness nonprofit called 15 and the Mahomies. So, Mahomes isn’t hawking beer per se, but the Coors Light name is as prominent as it would be if attached to a pop-top aluminum can instead of a bulb-headed metal cylinder.
