GATORADE revives 'Be Like Mike' campaign to inspire a new generation

Stepping into the time machine, GATORADE has brought back the iconic "Be Like Mike" campaign. Debuting during the NBA finals (can you say prime time?), the ad features the who's who of sports greats: Michael Jordan, Serena Williams, Lionel Messi and a new generation of athletes like Jayson Tatum, Bryce Harper and Olympic gold medalist Sydney McLaughlin. 

The campaign aims to convey GATORADE's role in fueling greatness for athletes and your everyday gym rats. This nostalgic yet future-looking campaign is the first masterstroke of Gatorade's new Chief Brand Officer, Anuj Bhasin, and it sure makes a slam dunk. The original "Be Like Mike" ad first aired in 1991 and quickly turned into a sports marketing legend. With this revival, Gatorade's new campaign is like a remix of a classic hit, broadening its relevance to athletes in multiple spaces. Watch the video here.
