SNAPCHAT showed users how to restart a stopped heart

Social media platform Snapchat collaborated with the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies to teach people how to administer CPR. The instruction was supplied in the form of an augmented reality video presentation and was reinforced by a quiz. The initiative rolled out on Oct. 16, which not coincidentally was World Restart a Heart Day, an occasion that seeks to raise awareness of the life-saving value of CPR (70% of heart attacks are said to occur in front of bystanders but only a small fraction of those bystanders know how to administer CPR to the victim).
