TIGER WOODS tees off a new chapter with TAYLORMADE after NIKE split

Golf's living legend, TIGER WOODS, is swinging into a new venture, leaving the swoosh behind and stepping onto the green with TAYLORMADE. In what sounds like a match made in golf heaven, Woods is expanding his partnership with the brand, known for its top-tier clubs, to now dress the part as well. The apparel line, set to launch in May, promises to make golfers look as sharp as Tiger's short game. Financial details are hush-hush, but it's clear this partnership is more than just skin-deep.
Woods, who has been with TAYLORMADE since 2017 for his club needs, quipped at the launch event in California that while the new gear might not improve your swing, it'll surely upgrade your style on the fairway. This coming from a man whose wardrobe choices on Sundays – those iconic red shirts – have become as legendary as his golfing prowess.
The apparel line, aptly named Sun Day Red, is a nod to Woods' final round dress code and is just the beginning. Plans to expand into footwear and even women's and kids' lines are on the horizon, initially available online in the US and Canada. It’s like Tiger is not just changing his shirt; he’s aiming to redesign the entire golf wardrobe closet.
This move comes after Woods and NIKE, a partnership that lasted over two decades and netted Woods upwards of $600 million, decided to part ways. That collaboration transformed Woods into a global icon and helped NIKE carve out a significant slice of the golf market. Now, with TAYLORMADE, Woods seems set on not just being the face of the brand but a hands-on partner, with both parties eager to drive each decision down the fairway together.
Despite recent years seeing Woods battling injuries and playing fewer tournaments, TAYLORMADE's bet on him signals a belief in his undiminished star power and marketability. With 15 major championships under his belt, Woods’ shift to TAYLORMADE might just be the perfect swing to keep his legacy and influence in the sport growing, one stylish polo at a time.
