MILLER LITE offers barbecue coals that give off beer aroma

Memorial Day weekend saw many fans of backyard barbecuing fire up their grills with charcoal supplied by Miller Lite—briquettes that the beverage brand had infused with beer to add a tasty hint of hops to whatever flame-kissed foods were placed upon the patio broiler. For a limited time ahead of the summer gateway holiday, Miller Lite sold 4-pound bags of the activated carbon product (called “beercoal”) for $11.99 apiece. The offering was part of Miller Lite’s ongoing “Summer Loves Beer” campaign which features American flag-inspired product packaging along with video ads pairing Miller Lite and outdoor cooking.
