TARGET launches SHARK TANK style show for entrepreneurs of color

Target laid down a wager that its new TV series aimed at giving entrepreneurial people of color a shot at the brass ring will not only be a hit with viewers but also a big win in general for the Black community. ‘Bet on Black’ is a four-part series that will premiere Jan. 11 and revolve around Black business owners pitching their ideas for promising ventures to a panel of celebrity judges (one of the judges being a Target exec). The contestant who does the best job wowing the judges wins a $200,000 cash prize to help launch and grow their proposed enterprise.
