UBER EATS used scare tactics paired with a cool contest to promote Halloween prepping

According to Uber Eats, running out of candy to give away on Halloween is not merely a source of embarrassment but also an invitation to be terrorized by supernatural forces that roam the earth in search of those who fail to adequately stock up on treats. That was the premise of a horror movie Uber Eats produced for Halloween. The flick—titled appropriately enough “Don’t Run Out”—starred singer-actress Keke Palmer

However, it was more than scary entertainment; “Don’t Run Out” was also a contest in which viewers could vie for their share of a million dollars’ worth of treats available from partnering convenience stores around the U.S. Viewers were invited to keep a sharp eye out for 10 promo codes hidden inside the movie. Some were buried so deep they could only be found by searching one frame at a time. And to keep people on their toes, there were also a number of red herrings planted throughout.
