HENNESSEY launches NFTs (and they’re EXPENSIVE)

French distillery Hennessey recently raised a glass to toast the success of its first NFT offering, which consisted of exactly two tokens. They were offered as a set, but only one collector could obtain them. Price for the pair was set at $226,450. Upon purchase, the buyer would be able to choose to receive the tradable NFTs or, alternatively, two bottles of rare Hennessy 8 Cognac along with a complimentary trip to the Hennessey estate in Cognac, France. Hennessey 8 was originally released in 2017 and limited to just 250 bottles. The NFTs depict two of those bottles, the first and the last of the release (each is stamped with a number so you can tell which is which). If it happens that you don’t have a loose quarter-mil lying around the house to purchase the NFT set, in consolation you can always buy a bottle of the actual Hennessy 8 (it’ll only run you just shy of 40 grand).
