New social app BE REAL encourages users to show their true selves

Newly debuted social-media app Be Real is already ranked No. 3 on the Apple App Store’s social-media app list, pushed there by 6.8 million downloads so far. What’s different about Be Real is it encourages users to share content showing the reality of their lives. Here’s how it works. Be Real pings users once every 24 hours and prompts them to immediately snap a photo using their Smartphone’s front- and rear-facing cameras. Use of photo filters is forbidden and the exact timing of the prompt changes daily, making it difficult for users to phony-up their looks and lives.
