Tony Hawk inks deal with LIQUID DEATH in blood
A hundred fans of water brand Liquid Death spent $500 for a limited-edition skateboard coated with paint containing the blood of pro-skateboard legend Tony Hawk. The boards sold out in 20 minutes. Hawk (who recently signed on as a Liquid Death brand-ambassador) donated two vials of blood for the promo. However, observers couldn’t help noticing that the blood-bedecked skateboards didn’t draw nearly as much controversy as when Lil Nas X began selling his “Satan Shoes” (sneakers distinguished by a single drop of Lil Nas X’s blood embedded in the soles) back in March.
