Unlikely brand mashups are officially a thing. For their National Macaroni & Cheese Day celebration, Kraft chilled with Brooklyn-based Van Leeuwen Ice Cream and confected mac-and-cheese ice cream. Twitter reported that the Van Leeuwen website crashed due to an overwhelming volume of enthusiastic customers attempting to purchase the limited-edition treat.
