CHEEZ-IT debuts crackers made with cheese aged by rap music

A study out of Switzerland found that playing hip-hop music to cheese during the aging process improves the dairy product’s aroma and flavor. Seizing upon that study, Kellogg’s Cheez-It brand in May introduced a cracker made with cheese that had been exposed nonstop for half a year to the beatboxing, breakin’, and deejaying of various famous rappers. Cheez-It promoted the first-of-its-kind, limited-edition product by partnering with music service Pandora, which contributed a mixtape containing the hip-hop songs used in the cheese aging. Cheez-It fans who purchased the “Aged by Audio” crackers also received a 90-day free trial of Pandora’s premium service.
