LIQUID DEATH: every witch-way but losing

Canned water brand Liquid Death conjured up a bold scheme to help kill plastic pollution. Here’s the game plan: on Super Bowl Sunday, Liquid Death will place a $50,000 bet on the underdog team going into Super Bowl LVI (the Cincinnati Bengals). To prevent the underdog team from losing, Liquid Death has arranged to insert into the stadium grandstands a genuine witch. Throughout the gridiron battle, this witch—a 42-year veteran of the dark-arts —will be discreetly casting powerful spells in the hope of affecting the outcome of the game. Based on what the brand’s 54-second video seems to suggest, the sorceress will use Liquid Death water as an ingredient of her game-changing incantations. If Liquid Death’s team emerges victorious, that $50,000 investment should reap quite a return. The brand has pledged to donate half of its winnings to the cleanup of plastic waste in the environment.
