CHEEZ-IT made plans to lodge college football players in cracker-themed hotel rooms

A couple of major college football championship games are coming up in the next few weeks, both to be played at Orlando’s Camping World Stadium: first, the Dec. 29 Cheez-It Bowl pitting the Florida State Seminoles against the Oklahoma Sooners, followed four days later by the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl in which the Louisiana State Tigers will face the Purdue Boilermakers from Indiana. Ahead of the games, players will need a place to stay, so snack brand Cheez-It will be lodging four of them in hotel rooms decked out to look like Cheez-It boxes that exploded. The rooms are being readied now, wildly splashed out in Cheez-It wallpaper, Cheez-It bedsheets, Cheez-It pillows; there’s brand colors red and mustard-yellow everywhere; even a portrait of a king with a wheel of cheese for a head (don’t be surprised if at night when the hotel staff comes in to turn down the beds they don’t leave a square of chocolate but instead a Cheez-It cracker). The goal is to help the players arise the morning of the big games “Feelin' the Cheeziest.” Additionally, a sweepstakes will be held to select some lucky football fans to watch the game from the stadium endzone within a replica of the Cheez-It-themed hotel room.
